Need Urgent help Booking auto cancelled

I booked airindia tickets for 2 passengers for round trip for DEL - BLR using Air india gift card purchased from the website and after payment and booking was done i got the PNR number but it was showing PNR waitlisted something.. i couldn’t take the screenshot of that .. and on searching the pnr it doesn’t show any booking or details.

Now after much tries i contacted Airindia helpline number and the support person is saying that the booking was auto cancelled due to some flight issue and he was also not sure and using the words like “maybe due to “ . he said the refund will be processed in 72 hours and all .. also i didn’t receive any email or msg regarding booking cancellation or confirmation or anything.

Is this thing happened with anyone ? what should i do now ?
