Bitget froze my account, I accidentally deposited 1354 USDT afterwards – they refuse to return anything
Hi everyone,
I’m sharing my experience with Bitget in case it helps others or maybe someone has faced a similar situation.
Timeline:
- My Bitget account ([email/UID]) was frozen/closed on [date].
- After that, I mistakenly sent two deposits to my Bitget deposit addresses:
- 800 USDT (BEP20) on 05/09 – TX:
0x47c0801614509568981fc0bdf73cb8539b509eef1c397d35ce154d8630b67484 - 554 USDT (BEP20) on 04/09 – TX:
0xc9209a8c9bd9e66240a8db42b71021f28d0c35de0addf150d53c9a428cfb8a2c
- 800 USDT (BEP20) on 05/09 – TX:
- Total: 1354 USDT.
Support response:
Bitget support replied that:
“пополнение счёта после уведомления может привести к потере ваших активов… данное решение является окончательным и не может быть изменено. Дальнейшие апелляции рассматриваться не будут.”
They say the funds are lost because the deposits were made after the account freeze notice, even though:
- the deposits went to official Bitget deposit addresses;
- the funds are clearly visible on-chain and under Bitget’s control;
- I am not asking to break their rules, but to consider a partial refund (at least one deposit) as an exception.
I understand I made a mistake by sending deposits after the freeze, but I believe keeping 1354 USDT without any possibility of return is disproportionate.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? Any advice on whether regulator complaints or public pressure actually help in such cases?
I can provide screenshots of the emails and TX details if needed.
