Eating more...makes me *more* hungry?
I struggle the most with binge eating, but my actual ED diagnosis is "Bulimia: Non-Purging Type" because I binge but don't purge, but I do make "compensatory actions" such as dieting, restricting, and over-exercising. But most of the time, I am unable to actually restrict even when I try. I am morbidly obese with obesity related health problems.
I was able to get on a GLP-1 on August 10th, to help with the food noise. It was almost immediately helpful. I was able to stop my addiction to fast food, foo-foo coffee, and late night sweets.
However...in the past couple of weeks, I have been restricting. It started with a day that I was sick, and spent the entire day in bed...and didn't eat anything at all for an entire day. I did eat the next day, but it triggered something in my brain, like...I can actually restrict. I have never been able to actually restrict without binging the same day.
But then yesterday, I actually ate my recommend calories, with well-balanced meals throughout the day. Then late at night, I had some candy. Not enough to call it a "binge" but about 10 servings of candy. I don't know why I even bought it!
Now, the morning after eating more...I am extremely hungry!! The days I wasn't eating, I honestly didn't feel hungry. My stomach is audibly growling right now. I had a decent breakfast, and now it's only an hour & a half later.
Is it normal to feel MORE hungry the day after eating more, when previously restricting for over a week?
