Okay, here we go again. 😂

But first, thanks to u/ElvenQueen726 for this post about Paracelsus' astral body: https://www.reddit.com/r/weyler/s/qH8DK6RGTg . It reminded me of one of my old theories, except I think what they pointed out gives it a lot more substance:

Basically, I said in that old post that, for me, one of the things Wednesday and Tyler might have in common is precisely the Shadow Realm or, if you prefer, the realm of the dead. And what u/ElvenQueen726 is explaining really fits with that idea.

Astral projection immediately made me think of an astral world and therefore the world of the dead. And the series seems to represent this visually quite often.

Whether it's during Wednesday's visions, when she communicates with the spirits of Goody or Weems, the realm of the dead seems very present. And the imagery used makes it look like some kind of upside-down version of our world, or the other side, whatever you want to call it. 😉 In any case, this world seems to exist in the series as a layer superimposed on the real, tangible world. Like an astral dimension.

For now, mediums seem to be the only living people able to access it and communicate through it, although some spirits also seem able to interact with the physical world. Weems even moves a book at one point. And that's where my crazy idea starts. 😂

What if the Hyde is alive in the world of the dead, while Tyler is alive in Wednesday's world? ....Okay, let me explain. 😂 If the Hyde is a construction of the soul, something fed by anger and rage....What if that construction became so powerful that it actually came into existence... in the spirit world?

In a sense, Tyler may have "dreamed the Hyde", feeding it and eventually giving it an existence of its own in the world of the dead. After all, Hydes are artists by nature... and what do artists do? They create. 😉

Then a shock, a traumatic event or some kind of chemical induction could break the barrier separating the two worlds, allowing the Hyde to pass through Tyler and into the world of the living.

Which would also fit with Faulkner's words: “unleashed or unlocked.” And maybe that could explain part of the strange connection between Wednesday and Tyler. Wednesday can perceive both worlds. So maybe she can actually see or feel both Tyler AND the Hyde, without really understanding what she's sensing or why she's drawn to him.

But if we keep following this theory, and obviously we're going to... 😉😂

If the Hyde can cross into Tyler's world through him... couldn't it work the other way around too? 👀 Could the Hyde somehow allow Tyler to cross into the world of the dead?

That's one of the reasons I think Wednesday and Tyler might have such a "strange connection" and not just emotionally.....Maybe they can both literally cross between the two dimensions?

And actually... what if they've already met there before? Maybe even in dreams? 👀

I'm thinking about that weird crocodile painting in Wednesday's childhood bedroom. I can totally imagine Wednesday casually explaining one day that it was her favorite monster, the one that used to chase her in her dreams. 😉😂 And visually, the Hyde does have something strangely reptilian about it. You can see it especially in the spines running along its back, and then there's its recurring connection with water. 👀

So maybe Wednesday and Tyler's connection started much earlier than either of them realizes. Maybe Wednesday has been seeing the Hyde long before she ever met Tyler. Or maybe they've both been crossing the same invisible boundary from opposite sides.

But then again... these are just theories. 😉

Does the Hyde live in the realm of the dead? What if Tyler/Hyde can travel between both worlds? 👀 Another crazy theory 😉
