Is 2 months too early?

So I’ve been attending a parish about 2 hours away from home for about a month now, and I made my decision that I wanted to join during the 2nd service I went to. I don’t take the decision lightly, and I researched and talked to friends who are Orthodox for about a year before going to the first Divine Liturgy service. So far I’ve attended every Divine Liturgy on Sundays, two mid-week Vespers services (another to follow tomorrow,) every inquirers class (weekly on zoom that isn’t exactly structured but on going and “pop-in” style,) and so on.

I want to wait another month to have the conversation on the next steps so I can meet more people in the parish, and become more a part of the parish in whatever way that looks like. It appears that the priest only does catechism classes once a year and I’ve just missed the start of them, so I know I’m looking at next Christmas at minimum to be received if not Pascha of 2028 or later depending on what the priest decides, but it is what it is and if that’s what it takes, that’s what it takes. Would another month be too early to have that conversation or should I wait until next year some time to bring it up since that’d be closer to when catechism classes seem to be?
