Question for couples where one person has hsv2

I’m sure this question has probably been answered in the thread before but I couldn’t figure out what to search for. So I’m wondering, how many couples can speak to this? I’m interested in dating someone who has hsv2 and takes a daily medication. She’s had it for a few years, and apparently hasn’t had a major outbreak since she first discovered she had it. She occasionally feels her immune system activated and gets hives on her body for diet and stress related things. But as far as general flare-ups, she doesn’t seem to get those hardly at all as long as she takes her meds. Are there couples out there where one person has hsv2 and hasn’t given to to their partner who came into the relationship without it? How many couples have ended up getting hsv2 after a number of years of exposure? The thing is. She and I both know that we both hate condoms 😩 so I know it’s a risk. I haven’t yet spoken to a doctor about the likelihood and potential risks but I know it’ll never be zero. I guess I’m thinking that this person would have to be the love of my life for me to risk it.
