It’s crazy how some actors give terrible performances in AHS, but are great elsewhere

I don’t know if it’s the direction they received, or the source material itself, but something doesn’t click for some actors. Or maybe they would do better, had they not been the characters they were assigned.

For example…

Billie Lourd is incredible in Booksmart. She gives such a fun, daring and unhinged performance. Also, Scream Queens, she’s pretty great in….but she’s awful in AHS Apocalypse.

Billy Porter’s performance in Pose is truly remarkable. He’s so unbelievably great in that show…he’s so stiff and wooden in Apocalypse. I never once believed his character or the words coming out of his mouth.

Gus Kenworthy is actually pretty great in his short appearance in Will & Grace. His comedic timing is actually not bad in that episode, especially for someone who has never acted before. But again, he’s truly terrible in 1984.

While Kaia Gerber isn’t the best actress, she gets by In Palm Royale. She’s not great, but in no way does she embarrass herself. Her performance in Death Valley is bad. It’s just bad

I just think some actors don’t do well, or click within the AHS universe. But not everyone can be Jessica Lange, I guess.
