Fire Lookout Tower

I love climbing up tall shit at the burn. I’m also a curious monkey and discovered the chimney move to top out on the fire extinguisher handle. I had an amazing time up there for like 20 minutes around 3am Wednesday morning. My crew was below chillin on the swing seat. I gazed around at the playa seeing camp Q pop the fuck off with the filthy bass music we had just rolled away from. I saw the man upright and silent, stoically viewing the party amassed around him. I saw the rings and the scale and the intention of black rock city, the effort that went into this incredibly creatively unique place. I saw cyclists and art cars going about their paths, I appreciated the reprieve from the wind and dust, thanked my past selves and my luck at being born into a Way that brought be here. We are nothing and we are everything. 7 burns in and I am still jaw dropped with incredulity. Thank you lookout tower artists and construction team. You let me get high up without sitting in the line to the man. Wow just wow.
