What colour do I paint dark skinned people's lips?

Aight, I'm super confused because yes red is racist, but apparently pink is racist too? ???

I saw some art where asians painted black people with pink lips and all the comments said it was racist, and as an artist who wants to get out of the anime style I'm suddenly confused what colour to paint their lips 😩

Sure, if its a simple cartoon you dont make their lips and the palm of their hands a different colour, but what if its more realistic? Pink is not okay?
