Planning on getting into elation—pulling help?

Hello! I initially wasn't gonna pull for any elation units, but after falling in love with many of them in the story, I have changed my mind. I figure next patch, where Evanescia and SW999 will likely be re-running along with pearl, would be a good time to start my investment. Primarily, I have two questions.

1. I despise sparxie and will not be pulling for her, how much does this impact SW999? Enough to where I should pull for Eva instead?

2. What makes this character better than evanescia (if she is)? I figured I'd ask people who are familiar with her, since I am leaning towards SW999, ideally making the SW999/YG/Nihilux/Pearl team. Thank you all!
