Princeton Football Recruit

A friend - large football player, went to the football camps at Princeton. Hasn't even applied yet but says that's where he's going. Like it's a sure thing because the football coach wants him. A's and B's. Very few AP's. Around 1300 SAT.
Is he in for a rude awakening?
Does the football coach have that much sway?
Worried he's being very unrealistic. Even his mom is telling ppl that's where he's going.
