Opinions on type 2s posting here without identifying themselves?

Do you think people with only type 2 diabetes (no autoimmune component) should be allowed to post here without clarifying their type. I know some of them do take insulin and have cgms but is that itself grounds for them to post in this sub?

I saw someone in another sub post about their experience with type 2 diabetes, and it was clear by their post that they were not type 1. I took a look at their profile out of curiosity and saw to at they were an active member of this subreddit. However, they never disclosed that they do not have type 1 in the posts of theirs I saw.

I personally have no problem with them contributing to the conversation, but only if they clearly identify themselves as type 2. There are also lots of other spaces online for people with type 2 to have discussions and share their experiences, so it’s not as if they don’t have their own community.

Curious to hear others thoughts on this matter…
