Too much independent play?

Behaviour

Is it bad to let my 9 month old play independently most of the day? Like I’m always right next to her (unless it’s supposed to be nap time), but she spends most of the day just playing with her toys. Sometimes I try to chime in like “ooo what is that, what do you have” etc but I stop after a few minutes because she couldn’t really care less about me talking to her, lol 😅 I also just feel awkward narrating everything and I feel like trying to say ALL the words diminishes the value of the important words I try to teach her.

Anyways, I’ve always heard “don’t make a happy baby happier” but at a certain point… how much independent play is too much, even if they’re happy? Like is it good enough for her to explore and learn about the world around her for now, or should I be spending more time interacting and teaching her words?
