Some quick tips before we likely merge with Germany tomorrow or very soon

  1. Relist older items

Basically Vinted's algorithm tends to push new uploads more often. You may have listed something 2 months ago, it got 10 views and 8 favourites and stayed like that for weeks.

Really you should delete the listing (easy to screenshot your images first) and reupload it. This means buyers are more likely to see it. Plus with the merge, thats thousands of potential new viewers.

  1. Keyword your listings.

Basically the search operates off of filters and keywords. Let's say I want to buy a "Nike Hoodie that contains Cotton". If your listing does not say "Nike", "Hoodie" or "Cotton" in the description, title or categories or materials, it wont show up in the search.

List every possible keyword. Size, colour, material, brand, Does the item work in German if it is tech?

  1. Make offers before the merge.

If you see an item you like in your favourites, try to buy it sooner rather than later. German buyers will be able to see it and they may go for it. It will get a bit more competitive. You snooze, you lose.

  1. Good photos

It will get a bit more competitive. Make sure you have pictures of clean items in natural light. A quick google search wil give you good examples.

If it is clothes, it can be handy to wash and lint roll them first or maybe do one or two things the next time you are ironing. If its clean and without creases you should get more views.

If you want a German buyer to buy from you, they probably wont be paying for overseas shipping based on poor pictures.
