Am I going insane? Baby name conundrum

We've had a name picked out for a girl or a boy since we found out I was pregnant. I'm now 28 weeks and my last ultrasound was a "maybe girl" for gender, so I'm still not 100% on that. I've been dreaming about a different girl's name for the baby for a few weeks now than the one we picked.

There is a problem though, it is basically one of our dog's names. Let's say our dog's name is Katy, and I am dreaming about Kate (not the actual names). We do not actually call our dog by her name, we call her something completely different and have for years. She will respond to her original name though, and her vet records/medications are in the real name.

I think my husband has an elder family member with "Kate" and I want to ask him about it, but I'm so embarrassed. (Our older daughter is named after his grandmother, and I and named after mine...just like the idea of passing down names). I feel like a hormonal preggy lady who's getting a little stir crazy. My older daughter is starting school again and I have been put on early leave since around week 20. What should I do? I still like the name we chose, maybe put the "Kate" name as a middle name? Has this ever happened to anyone?
