Found a weird hack
With ADHD, I've always had issues getting started on doing things. I just discovered that I am HIGHLY motivated to get things done if I don't allow myself caffeine until after they are done.
I do try to keep the pre-caffeine list short and the expectations low. For example:
- take med with a glass of water
- empty the dishwasher
- 20 minute walk or weight workout
- write for 15 minutes.
I have noticed, though, that once I get the things I'm most likely to procrastinate on done, the more likely I am to do more after caffeine. Plus, Andrew Huberman says it's better to have caffeine after about 90 minutes anyway
Anybody else have any weird hacks?
