Would it be weird for me to play A Plague Tale: Requiem if I haven't played Innocence?

Just finished Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and I hear it's a prequel to the other games. I really enjoyed Resonance, but it looks like Innocence, the first game, isn't on Game Pass. I was thinking about playing Requiem but would that be a bad idea since I'd be missing out on the story beats between Resonance and Requiem?
