Funny story by Emily Henry

This was my first Emily Henry book and I genuinely get all the hype. If I were to summarize this book it's basically the perfect rom-com. It's super fun, silly and has the right amount of angst.

First thing I wanna talk about is Daphne and I'm genuinely so happy to read about a female protagonist that is more than quirky and different from other girls. Yes she falls in the tropes at times but she's so much more. She has a personality and thoughts which are not just boxed into a single archetype. Her insecurities, her self doubt and everything it took for her to trust herself was relatable and felt realistic.

Miles was amazing too. I liked that he wasn't perfect and that he tried to be for FL. Best part definitely is that the writing really shows you there is chemistry. Without a doubt it will have you giggling and kicking your feet.

The pacing was also great, but around 70% in I think it lost its footing for a bit, probably could've done the dad arc a bit better. The ending while not rushed had me wishing we got more. Cause we didn't really have anything of them being an actual couple. Really solid read regardless. If you are looking for a fun read I 100% would recommend this.
