How do I feel less awkward discussing being lgbtq?
For context, I am an artist. I post on social media. Mostly YouTube & instagram. I’m not super popular but one short on YouTube that blew up ( it’s a few years old now ) discusses safe binding.
I’ve had requests to make more videos regarding lgbtq+ topics. I mostly post art, my pets, and sometimes cooking videos on YouTube. It’s just for fun.
I’d love to post more regarding lgbtq+ stuff, I don’t hide I’m queer. It’s pretty obvious with how my art is. I just get so awkward.
I have a few ideas written down. Tips on dealing with dysphoria, discussing micro-labels, talking about my experiences..
I just worry I’m being cringey. I also worry because some people get offended so easily.
Certain topics I’d never want to touch in depth unless I had a person who knew more to help ( things like being aroace I’m just not confident in discussing in depth unless I had a person who was aroace to make sure I’m talking about it correctly )
But I’d love to talk about being genderfluid, t4t, growing up queer, etc.. I am not super confident in it though.
I’ve been slowing working on some Halloween stuff and I’m probably gonna throw in some pride flags in. Thought maybe that would be a good chance to talk about stuff? Idk.. I think I just need the confidence.
I don’t want hate, but I also don’t want people to follow me on social media if they’re not accepting of my community.
