Flim & Flam could potentially become the most powerful villains

In MLP, Flim & Flam are mostly a caricature of corporations and capitalism. But if they had a long-term strategy, I think they could potentially take control of all of Equestria without even using magic.

Imagine a Flim & Flam corporation that keeps industrializing production and investing in R&D. Over time, this would decrease their production costs. They could start replacing local artisans and become one of the most important companies in Equestria.

Then they could gain institutional influence over decision-making in Canterlot.

Equestria might be a monarchy, but real power could gradually end up in Flim & Flam's hands. If the Princess wanted to do something that went against their interests, they could threaten to relocate their factories. That could cause unemployment, shortages and possibly a big economic crisis.

So instead of conquering Equestria with an army or powerful magic, Flim & Flam could make Equestria economically dependent on them.
