Feedback on our growing daily trivia game!
It's been just 10 days since we launched "The Daily Mosaic," our daily trivia game at , and the response has been thrilling.
The game has already been played >1,600 times, with ~300 users coming back to play nearly every day the past few days. All of the traffic has been organic, and come from showcases across Reddit communities, players sharing their daily scores with friends and family via WhatsApp and iMessage, and a slightly aggressive push on Instagram Stories 😅
When we launched last Monday, all we had was a subdomain where you could play the game and share your score via text. Soon after, many of our friends, family, students, and well-wishers reached out with some great ideas for how we could make it better.
We monitored all of that feedback closely and introduced a bunch of new features to make the game even more fun and engaging to play every day.
As of this morning, Wednesday, Sept. 9, you can:
- Play past puzzles if you missed any
- Track and share your personal stats and streak
- See how many letters you got right in any guess, in case you made a spelling mistake
- Join an optional leaderboard to see how your score compares with other trivia nuts who have been playing every day
- See a countdown to the next puzzle, in case you're like me and don't have a particularly sharp sense of UTC.
We've also made a number of smaller UI updates to make the overall gameplay experience smoother.
If you haven't tried The Daily Mosaic yet, today's puzzle is live here: www.mosaicminds.io/daily
The idea was for us to create a free resource for anyone on the internet to engage with the mindset and approach Mosaic Minds has towards learning, and although it's only been 10 days since we got started, it has already become one of the most enjoyable projects I have undertaken here at , and I'm excited to see this reach many, many more people in the weeks to come :)
I'd love to get feedback on the overall gameplay and UI of the game as we constantly make improvements to the system.
In particular, I'm eager to know what your experience is like when it comes to playing the past puzzles, using the score-sharing feature, and the leaderboard.
