Jasons bio says he wants the easy life but things just keep getting harder and Lucia seems to be the one convincing him the only way he can get the life he wants is to continue escalating their crimes while he will remain reluctant the entire time.

Thats why it says she could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to Jason because she will either cause his death or she will be able to get him the life he always wanted and "jump of the carousel", but I believe its much more likely that she will refuse.

Know here's why I think Brian will try and give him a chance at freedom, throughout the game I believe that Brian and Jasons friends will realize that Lucia is a bad influence on Jason, believing that she will cause his death if they continue to stay together.

Brian will be the one to first tries to warn Jason about Lucia, but he will just ignore his worries and defend Lucia, but as the game goes on and things start to unravel Brian will give Jason a chance at freedom with a new identity in a new city free from all the worries, but Jason will refuse it because he doesn't want to abandon Lucia.

Then I believe Lucia will do something or something will happen that will make Jason snap and realize he needs to get rid of everything and everyone that knows his identity to be free, where we then get a mission to kill all of the major contacts we've made during our playthrough ending with Jason getting the choice to kill Brian and Lucia, gaining his freedom or going down in a blaze of glory.

Brian will give Jason a chance to be free, Jason won't take because of Lucia and then Jason will have a moment where he finally snaps
