Might be a stretch but…

I’m not particularly religious at all but I’ve been getting videos on my TikTok for you page about the book “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young that Taylor posts endlessly about. Apparently the book is controversial online because it promotes false prophecies and if that is the case than I can only imagine that in Taylor’s current state she may be susceptible to other “cult” like ways of thinking that only validate her behavior because she believes she’s been “appointed by God” to be an example for women who have experienced domestic violence. As someone who at one point experienced religious scrupulosity (because of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) I think it’s entirely possible that Taylor continues to make the same poor decisions because she believes that she’s doing God’s work in some strange convoluted way and that she will end up “victorious.” I think it’s interesting that now more than ever she seems to have become more vocal about her faith when prior to the events of this year she never spoke about it other than the occasional mention of her complicated relationship with the L.D.S. Church…
