Leave in conditioner ruins the texture of my hair

So I’ve been growing out my hair and I’ve noticed when I wet my hair and it becomes damp I really suit that look I don’t touch it and leave it to air dry. Even once it’s dried I still like that look but I wanted to maintain that wet look for longer, I found a few TikTok’s talking about how leave in conditioners helps with this. I’ve used it twice now and I just don’t like how shiny my hair looks… I don’t really use any products on my hair but my hair has this natural weight to it but when I use the conditioner it just becomes flat and I can’t style how I want to and it takes days for it to go back to normal… is there any alternative styling products I can use?
