Which would you prefer
I have cleaners come every other week. We've just hired a nanny for my 3.5 mo daughter, but we're just doing half days since I don't return to work for a couple months. Eventually, I will be working from home in an upstairs junior suite that has a microwave and fridge, and I usually have meetings during when the cleaners come.
My nanny is too kind to tell me if she'd like the upstairs suite when they come. Which of these setups would you prefer:
- Upstairs suite. It's an office space and adult rec room combined. Lots of cables and baby unfriendly cat towers, but definitely more space, more comfortable adult seating, and less noise from cleaners. There's a small bit of room to setup a temp space for an immobile baby, but it would become concerning when baby can crawl and access expensive electronics.
- Downstairs nursery. It's by a bathroom and guest bedroom that will be regularly cleaned by the cleaners, so there's unavoidable noise. Small room, but obviously very baby friendly. Only adult seating that fits in the space is an exercise ball.
We have a portable sound machine and blackout shades in both spaces. My baby is unfortunately not able to fall asleep on the go since "waking up" unless it's a longish car ride. In the carrier and stroller she will force herself to stay awake. My nanny doesn't feel comfortable on car outings yet as she is a newer driver, instead she prefers local neighborhood strolls.
What would you guys recommend I and the nanny do when cleaners come by?
