I'm missing fucking my married ex - 1
I'm 30 years old and I (mallu) was in a relationship with her(telugu) 6 years back when I was working in an IT company. She is also of my same age. Both of us were very studious and ambitious in life and had strong career aspirations.
We broke up within a couple of years because of language and caste issues, her parents did not agree for an intercaste marriage
I was super frustrated, cut off all ties to her and prepared hard for my CAT and got into a top IIM. Channeled all my frustration to fuel my ambition, thankfully I got placed in a top business consulting firm for a healthy salary
As part of my consulting role, I travel fairly often to client sites. This particular project was with a chemical company, and I was working with a fairly large cross-functional team.
There was one guy in the team who seemed to have become the group's favourite punching bag. People constantly took digs at him, interrupted him in meetings, and rarely seemed to take anything he said seriously. He was in his late thirties, unusually tall and painfully thin, with thick glasses and a permanent slouch that made him look like he was apologising to the room for taking up space.
I had seen him somewhere before. I couldn't place him initially. Then, halfway through the project, it hit me.
He was her husband.
I suddenly got reminded about her and pinged her on insta and said I saw her husband in my client place. She was surprised and we kept chatting. She told me how she shifted to a product company and is earning a massive sum and her ESOP compensation itself is in double digit crores, liquidating which helped buy an apartment in a fancy society in Gachibowli.
I was very happy for her and we kept chatting over the next couple of weeks, started on insta and slowly moved to whatsapp. She told me about her 3 year old son, her plans to settle in Australia and many more of her aspirations. I told her about the countries I visited, clients I've solved problems for and the 300+ flights I've taken
One day, out of curiosity I asked her, "Hey, I know how much salary chemical companies pay and I also know your husband's role will not fetch more than 12lpa. It's so great and accomodative of you to be the leading breadwinner of the family and more happy that your husband takes this in the right spirit"
I asked her because her previous conversations gave me this vibe, hence I sent this message
Then she slowly started saying, no she's not happy with her husband being a loser(her words). And she was forced to marry him because her horoscope has mangalik and some other complications and how like me breaking up with her, a couple of alliances also broke post engagement sighting her horoscope. Finally her family put of frustration, found this guy in their caste with whom the horoscopes matched. She found this guy relatively calm, stable and she felt maybe this is what adulthood is, sometimes you don't get everything you want. You choose someone good and build a life together and they got married
Apparently her marriage initially was all fun and frolic. Later when she started growing faster in her career, her husband started developing a massive inferiority complex and also it didn't help that his promotions were withheld a couple of times and his salary did not grow in proportion to her salary
She spoke about how it started affecting their relationship and how the talks slowly became functional and now it's almost nil and how she's in the relationship ONLY for her kid. I felt bad for her and said sorry I asked and left it at at that
A week later, I got a couple of free fanpit ticket to Sid Sriram concert last December, I remember she was a HUGE fan of this guy and offered the tickets to her for free as I felt she would enjoy this better. She took her husband and kid to the concert and said she thoroughly enjoyed the concert and thanked me for the tickets
She said she wanted to return the favour and said she'd like to treat me for Lunch a couple of days later. We went to a fancy Chinese place (she remembered my fav cuisine) and had some good fun discussing movies, geopolitics, AI and how the world is moving more individualistic. End of the conversation both of us felt a feeling of wholeness and I said thank you for the conversation and the food and gave her a hug and we left for the day
That night, she sends me a pic out of the blue. Mind you we've never shared pics with eachother and here she is sending a selfie where she is sulking. The image says, how I missed such conversations that fire my neurons. And this pic, changed equations completely going forward..
