Is anyone else frustrated by the sudden clout-chasers outside Céline's hotels and those ridiculous "clone" theories?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been a dedicated Céline fan for over 20 years, but lately, the discourse around her, especially online and outside her hotels has been driving me a bit crazy. I wanted to check in with other long-time fans to see if you're feeling the same way.
Don't get me wrong: fans waiting outside her hotel is nothing new. We've all seen or been part of those genuine, wholesome moments over the years where actual fans wanted to show love. But recently, it feels totally different. Now, it's flooded with opportunistic people who aren't even fans, just camping out for visibility, TikTok views, or clout. She feels "hype" to a crowd that doesn't care about her music or journey, but just wants a viral moment with a trending celebrity.
What bothers me just as much are the people claiming "that’s not the real Céline" or insisting she’s a body double because "her voice is different" or "she's acting strange." It’s so painfully clear these comments come from casual observers who don't know her at all.
As someone who has followed her career, interviews, and personality for decades, I recognize her 100%. Her mannerisms, her warmth, her humor, and her voice, even as it naturally evolves, are distinctly her.
It’s just frustrating to watch a beloved artist become clickbait for people who have zero connection to her history.
How are you guys handling all this extra noise? Do you feel like the crowd dynamics around her have shifted for the worse, or are you just trying to tune it out?
