I unknowingly stole someone else's scooty 😬🤧

So pata hai aaj kya hua? This is probably one of the most embarrassing and weird things that has happened to me.

My mom told me to bring a gas cylinder from HP. We want the smaller cylinder, so I went there with my scooty. When I reached the counter, they told me I had to pay in cash.

And guess what? I had forgotten my wallet at home.

My house is around 1.5 km away, so I went back home to get my wallet. I also didn't have the exact change, so my mom gave me some ₹20 and ₹50 notes. After that I went to an ATM to withdraw some money.

I parked my scooty outside the ATM.

I needed ₹700, so I decided to withdraw ₹1000 thinking I'd get one ₹500 note and the rest in smaller notes.

But nope.

The ATM gave me two ₹500 notes.

I took the money and came outside. At that exact time, I saw two young girls coming towards the ATM.

I started my Aviator and went to another ATM which is infront of the same ATM because I still needed smaller notes. I withdrew ₹200 there and started heading towards the HP gas shop.

Then something weird happened.

On the way, a man pointed at my scooter.

I thought maybe I'd left the light on, but the light wasn't on.

Then I noticed the side stand was down.

So I stopped and put it up. The stand felt a little loose, and I started wondering if maybe the spring had come off

But now the handle also felt different.

I hadn't ridden the scooter in a long time, so I thought maybe my father had changed something on it.Then suddenly one thought came into my head.

Wait...

Did I take the wrong scooter?

I reached the HP shop anyway, paid for the gas cylinder and then looked at the scooter properly.

And that's when I realised it.

I had taken someone else's Aviator.

The colour and everything looked almost exactly the same. The only difference was that their scooter was a little older and had some rusted parts.

At this point I was freaking out.

I took the gas cylinder and started going back towards the two ATMs. They were opposite each other, so I went to check both places.

And there was another identical Aviator parked at the second ATM too.

Now I was even more confused.

Finally I went back to the first ATM.

And guess who was there?

The same two girls I had seen earlier.

They were on a phone call with their family and waiting for me.

As soon as I arrived, they saw me and told the person on the call, probably their father,

Wo aa gaya aa gaya, rakho phone.

Those were the exact same girls I had seen while leaving the ATM earlier.

At that moment I wanted the ground to swallow me 😭

I put the gas cylinder down and returned their scooter. I explained that I genuinely hadn't realised I had taken theirs.

They looked like they were around three or four years younger than me and honestly they didn't say much.

I apologised and left with my actual scooter.

But there is still one thing I genuinely cannot understand.

HOW DID MY KEY FIT THEIR SCOOTER ?

And to make things even crazier, our license plate numbers were almost identical too. Only the last digit was different.

Like what are the chances of all this happening at the same time? 😭
