Does a set's visual aesthetic affect your enjoyment of it?

I guess I'm wondering this because, of all 18 sets that have released so far, I have NEVER gotten into the 'cool' sets: Cyber City, KO Coliseum, Inkborn Fables, Sentinels of Light, Space Gods. But I always love the quirky magic ones, the colorful fun ones, or the 'classic' ones (like Woods, Runeterra), and in all of these I've played them extensively because there are so many Origin traits I find cool.

It's also interesting because in League itself, I just never really resonated with the 'cool' skins either, like the Project skin line or the Ashen Knight skin lines.

Do any of you feel the same, or are you more drawn to the gameplay itself?
