Should artists do this?

Discussion

Something that has been on my mind for a while now ever since I have been scammed out of an artist for using AI and traced art without disclosing it, is that artists should be required to share a time lapse of the piece you commissioned to prove they actually did that piece. I know this might sound rather repetitive, but with how advanced AI is getting, it seems to be the best way to know they actually did the work. Not only that, but it's cool to see how the piece you commissioned comes together. Can these timelapses easily be faked? Yeah absolutely, but it's so easy to tell that a timelapse has been faked, no matter how well put together it is. Though I'm not sure how the artist will feel about this, since as said before, it seems repetitive having to record a time lapse every single time. I feel like more well known artists or artists that have done many commissions without complaints wouldn't have to do this since they're more trustworthy of not using AI, but for artists starting out, timelapses should be somewhat required so they can build trust. I'm curious on thoughts about timelapses being somewhat mandatory for pieces you commissioned?
