Abbreviations

Can we stop using abbreviations or is it a rule not to name names, Lol? Everyday someone needs clarification and then someone drops the regular name anyway. Not everyone knows what SS, PLK, KD etc. is. Then they have to wait for someone to respond to the question that could have just been typed out in the first place.
