Induction methods and epidural

I may be scheduled for an induction in two weeks and I've learned so much about all the things they can use to help induce you and was just wondering when you personally got the epidural during your induction?

I have heard horrible things about the cervical checks and am terrified about that but I am thinking I can get at least one cervical check before the epidural and I think I can deal with cytotec before the epidural as well. And if they want to do the foley balloon or pitocin, I will ask to get the epidural first. Just trying to see when others asked for the epidural!
