Anyone here have fissure surgery before?

Been dealing with a fissure for about 4 months now. Saw my doctor who gave me dilt cream that I used all of and for the last 2 months I was pain free but just recently after a bm developed pain again. Pain is minor and no blood but it seems like it’s just not healing which sucks as a bottom. Have an appointment later this month with a surgical specialist. Wondering if anyone has had surgery for this before and how their outcome was?
