Should I cut her off from a friend?

I had a coffee meetup today, with a girl that ive known for quite some time. Appearance wise, she looks like a normal girl with no weird piercings, haircuts etc. My dad used to have her as a student some years back and she was clever. He has grown fond of her. Anyways, I decided to have a meetup with her cause I had promised it and now was the right time. I don’t know why but it was 2 dreadful hours. I didn’t have a nice time. I wanted to leave from the first hour but I didn’t want to be rude to her. Either way, I had gotten a break from studying so that’s why.

There were some things about her personality that seemed kind of rude and ignorant. For example:

- She was boasting about all the trips that she went this year.

- She was complaining about her rental house being “too modern”. There are a million advantages about her house and she chose its architecture as a downside. She said that she may move out to a bigger one. Truth to be told, most of the students (like me) don’t have that kind of money to live in such luxuries and she’s not even grateful. She said that she hates old houses (like mine) and would never live in such.

- She was talking about how many photos she has on her phone, from all the trips she went this summer. I had asked her to show me something else in her album, and she boasted about her phone being too full of summer pics. Like girl - I get it, you like to travel. She stayed in expensive islands with high tourism for weeks.

- Throughout our whole coffee meetup, I was the only one asking about her life. She didn’t ask me a single thing. It’s like she was telling me indirectly “Why ask you when I know you don’t do the same stuff I do?”. It felt oppressive with no back and forth questions. I could FEEL the 1st hour passing. Honestly, she was laughing all the time with a way to show “My life is so easy! You should try it!”

- There was one time where I couldn’t keep it in me anymore and I said “My brother does his internship at Tesla! It was very hard to get that position*.*”. And her without missing a beat said “Well a friend of mine works there too**.**”. It was like saying to me that everybody can do that. That it’s no big deal. Not even one congratulations.

- She was talking about how she’ll go to a trip with her boyfriend for 5 days this October and that she had to book tickets 8 months before the trip. She was talking so much about him it made me mad. Plus she asked (THE FIRST QUESTION) if I have a boyfriend. I said no and she started laughing. That was rude. I felt bad about myself...

Yes, my father likes her because she had her as a student. But after going out with her 2 times (this being the second) I realized that we don’t mesh well together. I was the only one interested about her life. If someone had seen us at that cafeteria, it would made me look like I was just listening to her and being on mute.

Does somebody else have that situation? I don’t know if I want to go out with her anymore.
