Will Super El Nino cause more tornadoes on the US West Coast this year?
The predictions for California are for a significantly wetter and stormier rainy season. I am wondering if this will increase the probability of tornados, especially QLCS types.
Conversely Oregon and Washington are expected to have a drier year with occasional “atmospheric rivers”. This also seems to indicate instability that may cause tornadoes.
I can’t find any discussion on this topic.
I know it is still early in the season so who knows how it will go?
