Turning off imessage, MMS, RCS on iphone (?)

Hello. I don't really have an issue using apps on my phone (iphone 14). I am off social media, can easily choose when to go on it and when not to etc which is really nice.

What I do have an issue with is : chronic texters, being bombarded with other people's "moments" (photos or videos or instagram posts) that I don't want via text, and especially being added to group texts. I cannot stand group texts and just want my phone to be my phone again.

I do need texting for work, or appointments for repairs stuff like that.

Question about Turning off imessage, mms, rcs - I don't completely understand these things, but from what I have researched, it seems like doing this will just make my iphone basically act like the original iphone - text only ability and no group texts allowed, which is what I want.

I can just turn back on MMS if I am interested in getting a photo sent to me, if this is correct, but I don't want my phone to be open season anymore to people who have issues with their phone addictions bombarding me.
