Breaking the echo chamber

Part of my personal philosophy is that I shouldn't fully believe one thing without considering the other side. This also applies to plurality. I went onto the "other" subreddit, thinking I would hate everything about it. While there were definitely some things I disagreed with with, much of what they said made sense. I feel like it gave me a fresh view on plurality, and I'd like to share what I think.
- Non-disordered plurality is valid. Despite everything, I still feel like it gets a bit too much hate for what it is. It's impossible to prove it exists, but it's also possible to prove it doesn't exist. Non-disordered plurality for me has always been sort of a way of life for us. It allowed me to get different perspectives, (although very similar due to having the same experiences), and helps me feel less, well, alone. The only issue is when people claim to have a disorder while they don't. I believe that disordered and non-disordered plurality should be considered different things, and doing so would help everyone. Stop playing the victim.
- You shouldn't care about being "valid". If you believe that you're plural, you are plural to yourself. Simple as that. However, that doesn't mean everyone else is forced to share your view. If you're worried about getting "fakeclaimed", you shouldn't be posting about it in the first place. Just live your life as plural and stop caring about what others think.
- Artificial changes in speech. I feel like many people do this. Alter A talks like this. Alter B talks like Alter A. Alter B doesn't feel "unique" enough, so now alter B uses a different tone in real life, and filters everything they say. I'm definitely guilty of this, and have been trying to change this for a while.
- Skits/scripted conversations. It's not too uncommon for us and, all things considered, many others likely do this too. One alter has an entire conversation by themself, and thinks they are talking to another alter. They aren't. The entire conversation is made up by 1 alter, and they just go through with it. It's very hard to tell when this happens, and I bet it's more often than you think.
- Attention seeking. While wanting attention is a natural human want, I believe people don't fake plurality itself for attention. However, sometimes situations are made up for the attention. I've done this before without even realizing it. Normally, it's a skit of some sort, that I feel like sharing.

As always, I'm always open to changing my mind about this kind of stuff. Feel free to yell at me in the comments, ill try my best to respond. Oh yeah, pretty sure the mods would like to to keep the echo chamber, so if I post this on the other sub I'm prolly gonna get banned. If someone can post this there on my behalf, it would be appreciated. I'd also like to hear what you guys have to say over there.
