I've never liked therapy , should I try again?
I've had mental health problems on and off for about 5ish years , I saw a few therapists but things never worked it always felt too clinical , too detached and I never felt like they were actually listening to me or they'd make me do pointless tasks.
I've only just found this sub but I wanted to ask, I'm quite a masculine man in the sort of love, provide, be calm and never complain kind of away ( if that makes sense) I feel like I'm out of place in therapy all the tasks and ideas never feel like they really help me. I often heard I was being too uptight and I felt they saw me like some 60s emotionally shallow stoic , that's not the case I just feel genuinely fulfilled when being a good person,
Im not sure if this convays my issues with therapy but TLDR I dont feel like I fit in , is it worth trying again?
