AIMA - NIF Complications

Visas

Hello, I am currently applying for a student visa and my appointment is in late October. I just recently had an appointment with AIMA this past week in which they said they could not accept some documents I had and said they would reschedule.

That being said, I am a little confused about the NIF paper I was asked to present. On the website for AIMA under the student visa it did not specify some things such as presenting the NIF (which I do have).

The confusing part is, I am not sure exactly what they are asking for. When I entered Portugal years ago, I paid E-residence to help get me a NIF (I still have the PDF document). I do not have my name signed on the contract of the apartment I'm staying at (boyfriend's family does), but I will later get a document signed with the landlord stating I am at this residence.

So knowing this, would I need to get another NIF (physical copy) with this address or would the one I have already suffice? Does anyone who has been in my situation know any specifics on this?
