I’m scared about college
I’m currently a senior in highschool. I really love the theater. I’ve been doing stage management, acting, directing, playwriting, and more for the last few years now. I want to go college to study directing or playwriting but I don’t know where to go.
I’m really scared about college. It’s not just normal fear of change, growing up, and moving on stuff. That’s definitely a big big part but there’s a lot more. I’m scared about my safety and quality of life for a number of reasons.
-
I’m trans (mtf) and I live in the US specifically Florida. So I’m kinda terrified of being in an unsafe environment wherever I go.
-
I’m chronically ill. As a result I’ve been in and out of school forever. I just this year moved over to virtual school with my electives in person.
-
My grades are kinda bad. My GPA is 2.5 and my grades are between Ds, Cs, Fs, and the occasional B
-
I’m also autistic/adhd and have serve anxiety so that doesn’t help which a lot.
I don’t know what to do. I know this post is a little messy but if anyone can offer any help or advice that’d be great. Even just some encouraging words would be a lot right now. I’m considering just taking a gap year to figure everything out but I’m not entirely sure yet.
