Inflammation in hip

So during my arthroscopy my surgeon discovered a massiv synovitis with beginning calcification and he didn’t remove it because he thought it was too much at once(also got anchors and cam impingement shaved down) and would make my hip unstable.
My symptoms haven’t gotten better and he thinks that the calcification may have fully hardened because during a diagnostic injection he said he felt that my hip capsule was quite hard. Hes going to try cortisone as a last resort, but if that doesn’t help he said he’d have to operate again.
Has anyone had any experience with this? Can he even feel if the capsule is hardened during an injection?
If youve had this, what did you do?
