**The wedding was tomorrow, finally I was getting married to my best friend, the day seemed it would never come but here it was.**

We had booked an expensive venue, plenty of rooms, fantastic scenery it was the stuff of her dreams. A nice spot just away from the city. We couldn’t book into the venue until the actual morning of the day. So I booked myself into a nearby town for one night to myself. Mainly to compose my thoughts, figure out what I was about to say during my speech.

I had arrived early evening, checking myself in and heading to a local bar to grab myself a nice cold one. It was quiet, just what I wanted. Or so I thought, one beer turned into two… two into three. I should really have a quiet night.

I was just watching the sports, minding my own business, trying to avoid eye contact with locals. Before a tap on my shoulder.

“Excuse you aren’t… Jim?” A voice from behind asked.

As I twisted my body. My eyes now begin to look up at you from my seat. You looked all so familiar, I just couldn’t place where or how exactly I knew you from.

“That’s right…..” I said softly, my eyes pleasantly surprised at this attractive woman talking to me.

There was a pause. “I feel like we’ve met? I’m sorry I just can’t recall your name?” I asked, still looking up at you, as my eyes were locked with yours.
