This is why we should not be growing the game
Imagine a group of people like me showing up to a basketball court or a hockey rink, completely stinking up the place, showing no desire to improve, and making the experience worse for other people at the gym/rink. But I keep coming in week after week. Oh and I start bringing my equally unathletic friends who are just as bad.
You probably wouldn’t like that, would you? Therefore, it shouldn’t be any different if they were on a golf course vs a basketball court. For whatever reason though, you people keep preaching that “golf is for everyone” and that anybody with a pulse should be doing this hobby. They really shouldn’t, for a myriad of reasons.
“But the golf courses will close if not enough people play them” - isnt that just business though? If you do not have a good product or service then people won’t buy it and then your business goes under. That’s just business at the end of the day. It seemed to work just fine for the first couple hundred years or so…
