Were you treated like a pitiful charity case?

for me it’s examples like being given scraps throughout childhood and early adulthood and expected to be grateful for it, or certain family members/ friends would hold it over my head that they took me out with them or drove me even when they were the ones to insist on driving me or asking me to go with them places
