Lost in Their Phones

Today I went for a bike ride along the beachfront. The day was sunny and beautiful, so there were a lot of people enjoying the day, either exercising or lounging around. But I also stumbled across lots of people with their heads buried in their phones. It struck me as weird because they looked so moronic.

When I passed by a big bench, there were about six or seven people sitting in the same position, with their phones in front of them. When I came back, they were still there doing the same thing, as if they had been frozen in place. I had a similar feeling to being around a drug-infested area.

I have the feeling that all these people being on their phones all the time is killing all the positive vibes in public spaces.
