Flossing for Chinook

Hi folks,
I normally centerpin for chinooks but since its almost mid season and everyone flossing its just hard to float fish so decided to give flossing a chance, I see when I try to do it either I foul hook a fish and most of the time my line goes over the fishes head even tho I m bouncing bottom with enough weight, I m using a fly set up with first 10 ft of line straight mono to a 10 lb fluro tippet.
how do u guys actually efficiently do it? like I dont wanna foul hook a fish I legit wanna floss them, is there a trick to it? what am I getting wrong here?
