This team centered around Blastoise setting up with Shell Smash and Weavile being the primary support. It’s an incredibly fun team that catches most people off guard with the moveset, and once you learn to predict when the protect is coming you get a very satisfying Feint + Water Spout/Dark Pulse kill. Into trick room you just lead sinistcha with imprison and then let Blastoise set up (+2 Dark Pulse will OHKO pretty much any TR setter without Colbur Berry)

Before M-C I had Gardevoir as the second mega but rarely brought it. With everyone wanting to run the new additions, terrain is essentially in every game meaning I had to find a workout to Psychic Terrain since that essentially shuts down the main strategy

Enter Steel Roller Metagross. Steel Roller is a 140 BP 100% accurate move that removes terrain. The downside is it fails without terrain but in this early stage of M-C when everyone wants to play with the new things, you can guarantee Indeedee or Rillaboom will be in most battles. Plus nobody will expect it (surprise moves are kinda the whole point of this team anyway)

Just thought I’d share one of my favorite teams to use last season that I’ve been slowly adapting with M-C. Probably won’t end up keeping the Metagross forever but it’s fun now

Upper Hand Weavile + Steel Roller Metagross
