Does 21:9 content actually benefit more from the GT Max’s 59° FOV?

I’ve been wondering if ultrawide movies are where the bigger FOV makes the most sense.

On smaller display glasses, 21:9 still feels like a pretty wide rectangle floating in front of you. With the GT Max at 59°, I’m curious if more of that width starts to feel natural instead of just making the virtual screen bigger.

For anyone watching a lot of widescreen movies on the GT Max, does 21:9 content actually feel noticeably more immersive than it did on a smaller-FOV pair?
