Product Designer – Ottawa, ON

We’re hiring a Product Designer for a T4 contract opportunity with a hybrid work model in Ottawa.

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Contract: T4 Contract
Experience: 3–5 years
Rate: CAD $50–60/hour

About the Role

You’ll be designing user experiences and interfaces for web-based software products, with a focus on data visualisation, dashboards, reports, landing experiences, and predictive analytics.

You’ll work closely with product management, engineering, and design teams to turn product requirements into user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and production-ready design specifications.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design UX/UI for web-based software products
• Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
• Design dashboards, reports, data visualisation, and predictive analytics experiences
• Work within established design systems and component libraries
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers
• Participate in usability reviews and design QA
• Prepare designs and specifications for developer handoff
• Identify opportunities to improve existing product experiences
• Apply UX and interaction design principles to enterprise SaaS products

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of product design or UX Design experience
• Strong Figma skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to explain the reasoning behind design decisions
• Strong product design portfolio with relevant case studies
• Experience with wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and user flows
• Experience designing data visualisation products or dashboards
• Experience with enterprise SaaS
• Experience designing predictive analytics experiences
• Experience working with design systems and component libraries
• Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and design teams

Nice to have: Experience with AEC software, cloud platforms, usability testing/reviews, design QA, developer handoff, and detailed design specifications.
