VDC parking

Hey for those living in VDC rn with a car, is it true they aren’t checking for permits right now? Is there a grace period or something? I don’t want to pay for the summer permit when it’s about to end in a couple weeks. But idk if I’ll get ticketed rn if I bring the car since technically the fall quarter hasn’t started.
